About Journeo
A trip is not a folder of files.
Journeo turns photographs, maps and memory into an interactive visual travel story — a journey a reader moves through, rather than a feed they scroll past. What you make here has a first light, a route, and a last frame.
Why it exists
Most trips end the same way. Four hundred photographs land in a folder, a handful get posted, and the rest are never opened again — not because they are bad, but because nothing turns them back into the days they came from. The order is there in the files. The places are there in the files. Nobody reads a folder.
Journeo reads it for you. It groups the photographs back into the stops they were taken at, draws the route between them, and gives you somewhere to write the two lines that only you know.
What a journey is made of
The unit is a Moment: a place at a time. Four frames of the same bridge in ninety seconds are one Moment; the market an hour later is the next one. The Builder proposes those groupings from the time and location your camera already recorded, and you correct whatever it got wrong.
Moments in sequence are the story. Their coordinates, in the same sequence, are the route on the map. One set of facts, read twice.
The Slow Atlas
The design language is called The Slow Atlas, and it is the reason this does not look like a social app. Near-black with a green cast, warm bone-coloured type, brass rules, and a great deal of space between one photograph and the next. The display face is Cormorant Garamond, the text face is Karla, and the handwritten asides are set in Architects Daughter.
It is restrained on purpose. A page that competes with the photographs wins, and that is the wrong outcome. Everything here is arranged so that a reader arrives at one frame at a time and is in no hurry to leave it.
Where a journey lives
Every published journey has a plain address of its own — journeo.life/your-handle/the-trip — and a page listing everything you have published at journeo.life/your-handle. Change your handle later and the old address keeps working: it redirects to the new one rather than breaking every link you have already sent.
Nothing is public by accident. A journey is a private draft from the moment it is created, publishing is a separate and deliberate act, and one button in the Builder puts it back to private again.
Your work stays yours
You keep the copyright in your photographs and your writing. What you give Journeo is permission to store them and to show them to the people you publish them for — nothing wider, and it ends when you take the work down or close the account. We do not sell your photographs, we do not license them onward, and there is no advertising anywhere on this site. The details are in the terms and the privacy notice, both written to be read.
